For me, participating in the Erasmus + project in Rovigo, Italy, was a very pleasant experience because I had never left the country. In addition, I found the hospitality of the family pleasant, who did everything to make me feel like in Portugal, as at home. I also enjoyed getting to know more or less the daily life of Italian students. I also found the robotics class rewarding because it taught basic sensor functions to robot movements. As for the visits we made to the museums, churches, palace, I found it beautiful because we know the type of painting / architecture of monuments in Italy.

I really enjoyed participating in this project! My Erasmus + experience in Rovigo was great! I loved it very much! The family that hosted me was incredible, and I did not imagine that the relationship between me and the family I stayed with would be so good. The food was great and what they say about the pizzas and the pasta is even true! They are really good, and besides the pizzas and the pasta there were also other very good dishes that I had never experienced or even seen. The study visits to Padua and Venice, for example, were really good, I saw some incredible and very interesting things. One of the places I liked most to visit was the Basilica of St. Anthony, and the museum with the exhibition on Galileo, but it does not mean that I did not like the others because they all had their interesting part. As I said, this trip / experience was incredible, spectacular, and unforgettable, I do not know if I will participate again in a trip of these, but if you do not participate, it does not hurt, as there must be many other people who enjoyed participating in this project, and I strongly advise you to sign up! This project did me very well and I will never forget it, as it is also my first experience abroad.

The week I was in Italy, I had a good experience on all levels: I made new friends, I met a new family that welcomed me and I learned a little Italian. I really enjoyed the school and the teachers, I also had the opportunity to visit historical monuments, churches, cities and museums. I was very happy to have participated in this activity!

Carolina Coelho

The experience of doing Erasmus for a week in the home of people I did not know and in a completely different place from the usual one was incredible and no doubt repeated again. It was a trip that I will never forget for a variety of reasons, among which being a week at the home of people I had never seen before, having a different routine from day to day, meeting new people, speaking a different language every day, know a new culture and new places in the world. Without a doubt, I advise everyone that if ever I have the opportunity to do it in order not to waste it, it is a unique experience.

Francisca Pereira

I really enjoyed the experience. If I had another chance, I would certainly attend again!

As part of the ERASMUS + project, during the trip to Rovigo (Italy), I was able to observe many of the region’s monuments and some of their customs, and I was able to sample several typical foods. I could also make great friends and great discoveries. Over the course of a week in Italy, I was able to associate several Italian words with some Portuguese and managed to learn a little Italian. I met the customs of young people, such as after school, being with friends, going to bars, going to parties and not just staying at home on the computer. What captivated me most was the hospitality of the family who welcomed me, because I never lacked anything, they were all very friendly and very attentive! I will do the same when you come here.

I was in the third year of the Course of Trade Technician when there was the opportunity of six students of the school who attended the last year of the course to be able to compete for their Formation in Work Context in Italy, specifically in the city of Rovigo, province of Veneto .

I ended up getting the courage to sign up, especially for being held in Italy, a country that has always fascinated me and fortunately I ended up being one of the chosen ones among the six.

On the day of May, we left, I remember being very nervous, I had never been on a plane, and I was always afraid of it, and besides, I prepared myself psychologically to leave Portugal, even if only for seven weeks. The trip turned out to be quiet and after arriving at Rovigo we met the accommodation and so began my experience. In the first week we met the city, we had classes with teacher Antonietta and that same week I met the place where I realized my third and last stage, “I Sapori Dell’Orto”, a supermarket in which I was very well received both by the owner of the establishment , Mr. Marco, for the collaborator, Mrs. Uriana, as well as for the customers of the supermarket.

And, of course, I can not forget the daughter of Mr. Marco who sometimes went to the supermarket, and the university Maria Teresa who sometimes was going to earn some extra money. Over the forty-nine days we visited some cities, Venice, Verona, Rome, Padua, Ferrara, Bologna. The first city we visited was the historic city of Venice known for its gondolas, St. Mark’s Square, the Basilica, among other monuments.

Verona was undoubtedly the city that surprised me the most, known for its inspiration for the work “Romeo and Juliet” by the English William Shakespeare. I honestly was delighted from the center of the city to the famous House of Juliet, where, as soon as we entered, we found walls full of declarations of lovers or simple hearts. Further ahead is the prestigious statue of Juliet, which has the strange tradition of passing a hand on the right breast of the statue to find true love.

We visited Rome, and as it belongs to the province of Lazio, we had to catch two trains and make a long trip that ended up being worth it. As we knew we would have to walk always and only with the help of the GPS, we took the pre-defined route and so we could visit the Colosseum in Rome, the Trevi Fountain, the Vatican where I bought the memory for my grandmother. To conclude, I have to say that this experience enriched me personally, in terms of independence, cultural enrichment, growth and also at the professional level. With this, I think that whenever there is an opportunity like Erasmus + should take advantage.

Tânia Flor

From May 11 to June 29 of 2016, one of the most spectacular adventures I have ever had in my life: the trip to Italy.

For 50 days there was a whole mix of feelings, from joy, sadness and also longing. Joy, because it was always something that I wanted to accomplish, sadness because it was 50 days without the people with whom we are accustomed to live, that is, parents and family, and, finally, the homesickness of the people I met there and the friendships I created and that I know I’ll never forget.

In Italy, Rovigo, I completed my Training in the Workplace at FISIOMED. In these 50 days, I became an individual, personally and professionally, because I had the privilege of being selected in a group where only 6 people could go, and where I was able to know the working methods that exist in Italy , which are different from those of Portugal.

With this I was able to be even more organized, more autonomous and more objective in my professional life and I thank the entire team of FISIOMED who helped me in everything I needed, both in language and professional level.  This experience gave to realize a dream to know the fantastic city of Venice. A lovely city and I had the pleasure and privilege of visiting with this project.

Erasmus + also has the capacity to realize dreams, and this is spectacular, and I did not visit only Venice, but also Verona, Padua, Ferrara, Comachio and Bologna. Without this project, you probably could never have done it! It was a great adventure that leaves a great longing and a gigantic will to become there. With this, I want to persuade all the students of the school to apply for this project because it will undoubtedly mark you for the rest of your life, just as you have marked me.

Before I speak about my experience, I have to thank the school for giving me this opportunity to train in a country outside my country, putting at my disposal all the necessary conditions to have, in addition to a very organized internship, a trip in which nothing was missing and where I could make trips that I never thought to do in my life, like visiting Venice, Rome, among other places “less famous”, but of equal charm.

It was an unforgettable experience that anyone should have the opportunity to make, I made new friends, I met people from other countries, I had new experiences, I contacted a new culture, new lifestyles, new places. I have already said and I say it was a completely unforgettable experience.

As for the internship experience, I just have to say good things. From the very beginning we were well received, both on the internship as well as in the language preparations, and any problems we might have were resolved, in a timely manner and in the best possible way.

In a general appreciation, I only have positive aspects to present, both the host and the school and therefore I have to thank both entities and strongly recommend to any student who is intending to realize this wonderful experience that does.

My Erasmus + experience was undoubtedly unique and an opportunity that we should really take advantage of. I do not regret anything, it was fifty days when we had a lot of responsibility, but at the same time, freedom to make decisions in our day to day.

During this period, I made the most of my time in Italy. It is, without a doubt, a very beautiful country with much to visit. I loved visiting all the cities where we went, mainly Rome and Venice, two magnificent cities, with several monuments and very interesting, such as the Colosseum and St. Mark’s Square.

The internship was very interesting, and I had the pleasure of interning at the oldest company in Italy, about 150 years old, which focuses on the production of bricks, and I was able to see how everything worked. It was something I had never seen and had the honor of working with very friendly people and available to help at any time.

This experience allowed me to evolve, both personally and professionally, for 50 days, in which I regret nothing and if I had to repeat the experience, in the same country and in the same city, I would not refuse, because it was something that would remain marked for the rest of my life and I will not forget it because it was exceptional!
